Recently I did something I haven’t done in quite some time… I devoured an entire book in one weekend. It was one of those things where I just couldn’t pull myself away – I was totally sucked in and traded my hopes of tackling my to do list for reading chapter after chapter.

Eightysixed

That book was “Eightysixed”, an edgy little memoir about life and dating in Chicago in your 20s, and the coolest part is that it was written by a fellow Chicago blogger, Emily Belden (voice behind the blog “total e-bag“). Emily’s storytelling is really what makes the book great – it reads like you’re catching up with your girlfriends over Sunday brunch. Her voice is so relatable and although some of the dating stories seem crazy, you’re likely to have had a friend (or maybe even yourself) who has faced something similar in the craziness that is dating.

To celebrate the awesomeness that is “Eightysixed”, Emily has generously offered a discount code for you to snatch up the book for yourself, in both print and eReader versions. For 20% off a print book, use code 2NPRU7QM, or if eReaders are more your thing, AR54R.

Have you checked out “Eightysixed” yet? What’s the last book you read? Any suggestions for me as I plan for the lengthy flight to Europe?
