DIY // polka dot wall decals.

After months of being indecisive, I decided to combine a few of my favorite things to finish up my living room – gold, polka dots and super simple DIY projects. It’s a bit over the top but it took under an hour from start to finish, cost under $50 and is totally removable (always good news for a renter!).
And get this, you only need two things: contact paper and a circle cutter.
How it was done:
- Grab your contact paper + circle cutter
- Cut out as many circles as possible (this is best done with two people – one to hold the roll and make sure it stays still and straight while the other person cuts)
- Peel backing off contact paper and stick dots on wall – the great thing about this being non-permanent is that you can eyeball it and always move the dots if the placement looks off
- Once all dots are up and you’re happy with the placement, just smooth out all of the dots to remove air bubbles from contact paper
Ta-dah! That’s it. Totally simple decor that makes a big impact without spending a lot of time or money.
Would you rock a polka dot wall in your home? What’s the easiest DIY project you’ve tackled lately?
